Wheelchair access

Wheelchair access to the Opera House is on the Töölönlahti side. Wheelchair spaces are provided in the boxes in the 1st and 2nd balconies, which are directly accessible by lift. Elevator access to the 1st and 2nd balconies. Please book wheelchair spaces at the Opera sales service at least one week before the performance.

Services for the hearing-impaired

For audience members using hearing aids, an induction loop covers the stalls and the 1st and 2nd balconies. Please inquire beforehand at the Opera sales service.

Surtitling

According to international practice, most operas are performed in the original language. The Opera has a surtitling screen where Finnish, Swedish and English translations of the text are projected during the performances.

Parking

The FNO parking lot is intended for disabled parking and short-term parking (max 15 min). This parking lot is located adjacent to the Töölönlahti entrance. Parking for visitors arriving for performances is available on Mäntymäki field across the street and on Helsinginkatu.
