The fiery-tempered and outspoken Katharina must be found a husband before her younger sister Bianca, who has no shortage of suitors. The self-confident Petruchio undertakes to tame the strong-willed Katharina, and a battle of the sexes ensues. But who wins?
 
This popular work by John Cranko for the Stuttgart Ballet is based on one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies. It is a Renaissance romp full of energy, vivacious characters and broad humour.
