Gabriel, come back! - guest performance in Kuopio

The charming con artist comedy Gabriel, come back! will be given guest performances at Kuopio Music Centre on 10 and 11 August.

Two spinsters embark on a new period in their lives when the debonair and handsome Gabriel comes to lodge with them. Gabriel, though, is more interested in money than in its owners, but this does not make him any less wonderful.

Setting the witty stage play by Mika Waltari, Ilkka Kuusisto's opera incorporates a number of musical styles. It echoes the 1950s in the tango seductively performed by Gabriel and ventures into musical comedy territory towards the end. This is an opera that will make you feel good.
