One of the leading contemporary dance companies in the Nordic countries, the Danish Dance Theater, will appear in Almi Hall in November, performing a triple bill of choreographies by Tim Rushton: Enigma, CaDance and Kridt.
Choreographer Tim Rushton is the artistic director of the company, founded in 1981. He is known for his original fusion of dance techniques in close cooperation with the dancers. Enigma is a work for six dancers inspired by a Bach solo cello work. CaDance brings to the stage six male dancers performing minimalist music by Andy Pape. The concluding Kridt, set to Musica Adventus by Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks, was inspired by a verse from the Old Testament: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
