Bursting with magical twists and turns, this romantic story features creatures both fantastic and human, and love is continuously changeable. The story is a treasure trove for an inventive choreographer, and in this production it is interpreted by internationally recognised choreographer Jorma Elo, who drew inspiration from the complex action of the original play and the incidental music written by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
Elo received the Benois de la danse award, known as the Oscar of the dance world, for this work, which was premiered by the Vienna State Opera Ballet in 2010.
Tickets for the spring season performances available from 6 Oct 2014.
