Long ago, Cat Count Forelli lost his only son and much-missed fishing buddy. In his grief, the Count banned all singing and laughing in his village. Can we find the missing Oskari and the roll of sheet music tied up with red ribbon? We will find out in this new foyer opera for children aged 4 to 8.

Welcome to the Finnish National Opera's Open House - a favourite family event in Helsinki! Come enjoy free workshops, concerts, tours, and musical performances, along with a chance to sit in on opera performances and even take a turn at some ballet!

This spring, inspiring workshops for children aged 5 to 6 will be held in the foyer of the Opera House, exploring music, dance, costumes, staging and makeup. Registration for these 90-minute workshops is on a first come, first served basis. The entrance fee  is EUR 5 per person.
